Steve B. Flores

Steve B. Flores, 53, a longtime resident of San Geronimo, N.M., passed away on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at his home after 18 years of peritoneal dialysis.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1955, to Ignacio “Nash” Flores and Cleo Salas-Flores.
He was united in marriage on Feb. 9, 1985, in Las Vegas, N.M., to Sally Alderete.
Steve dedicated his life to helping others and working for the good of society. He was involved in many community organizations.
He is survived by his wife: Sally Flores of the family home in San Geronimo; daughter and sons: Sarah Ida Flores, Estevan B. Flores II and Sebastian J. Flores; children whom he helped raise: Julia Ortiz, Justin Marquez and Jen Ha; special friend: the baby.
Rosary devotional services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father C. John Brasher as celebrant.
Interment will follow at the San Geronimo Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers: Tito Gonzales, Estevan B. Flores II, Sebastian J. Flores, Joe Garcia, Nick “Sports” Ortiz and Tim Gallegos. Serving as honorary bearers will be: Paul Barrers, Justin Marquez, Dion Sanchez, Rick Lucero, Ricardo Fresquez, Clyde Lopez, Patrick W. Snedeker, Sasha Ninkalenko, Frank Herrera and John Lopez.
