Topic: Literacy Fair (live-remote) -- "Where The Wild Things Are: Adventures in Reading"
Participants: The Literacy Council of Northeastern New Mexico, in partnership with the United World College-USA and Tome on the Range, as well as lots of others who are participating in the event

Summary: We report "live" from the second annual Literacy Fair being held at the Abe Montoya Recreation Center in Las Vegas, NM. We interview some of the participants including Caroline Garduño-Lopez (Carnegie Library), Dorothy Maestas (Literacy Council of NE NM Founding Member), Valerie Duran (National Park Service, Ft. Union), Cody Romero (Robertson High School, "Cardinal News" Student Paper Co-Editor), Karyl Lyne (Drama Circle), Brown Bear and Vicki Howell (Tome on the Range), and UWC students from Mexico, Spain, Peru, Austria, Morocco and elsewhere. Activities include an improv theater where kids can dress up in costumes, do face painting, puppet making, and lots more. Ft. Union has an exhibit called "Letter, Journal and Memoir Writings of the 19th Century" where folks can write with a quill pen. The event is free and runs from 1:00-3:30 PM. All ages are encouraged to attend.
